Project Overview:  

The Maynilad 88 MLD Las Piñas Water Reclamation Facility was developed to expand wastewater treatment capacity across Maynilad’s West Zone concession while supporting the long-term rehabilitation of Manila Bay. The facility collects and treats wastewater before its safe discharge into the Zapote River, improving sanitation and advancing environmental protection through modern wastewater infrastructure. 

Project Context: 

Reliable wastewater treatment plays a vital role in protecting public health, preserving water resources, and supporting sustainable urban growth. Serving thousands of households across Las Piñas City, the facility strengthens sewerage coverage, reduces pollutant discharge into surrounding waterways, and contributes to one of the Philippines’ most significant environmental rehabilitation programs. 

Project Scale:  

• Water Reclamation Facility with a treatment capacity of 88 million liters per day (88 MLD)  
• Located on a 25,470-square-meter site in Barangay Pamplona Uno, Las Piñas City  
• Approximately ₱4.84 billion project investment  
• Designed to serve approximately 360,000 residents across 20 barangays 

Project Features:  

• Advanced Anaerobic-Anoxic-Oxic (A²O) wastewater treatment technology  
• Centralized wastewater treatment supported by an extensive sewer conveyance network  
• Designed to comply with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Water Quality Guidelines and General Effluent Standards of 2016 (DAO 2016-08)
